Keep Yo Hashtags To Twitter!

What is with people typing out endless hashtags on their Facebook posts?

IT’S FACEBOOK DAMMIT! HASHTAGS DON’T BELONG HERE!

Granted, many people have their Facebook and Twitter accounts tied together. But even then, on Twitter, do you need six hashtags in one update?

I DON’T THINK SO!

And honestly, six was the low number. Today alone I’ve seen Facebook status updates with a veritable paragraph of hashtags.

Are people that desperate to connect with nameless, faceless internet people? (Says the girl with the blog…)

Is that how we make new friends now? Running around with a list of quasi-relevant keywords and hoping that one of them interests another human being and we can connect over #work (no lie, that was one of the hashtags on someone’s Facebook status update).

  1. Hmm it looks like your site ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any tips for novice blog writers? I’d certainly appreciate it.

    • Ooh sorry about that. Very odd… My tips? Hmmmmm I guess it depends on what you want to do with your blog – if you want it to make money, try different posts, different lengths, and see what people respond to. If the blog is for you then I say do what makes you happy! All the posts I’ve written (the good and the bad) are ones that have popped into my head and needed somewhere to go. I’m just glad that people seem to be responding to them 🙂 -mostly positively lol
